How to add an EPG to Channels DVR
Channels DVR records and streams live TV to Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV and more. An M3U source takes your IPTV playlist and an XMLTV link for the guide, so EPG Full fits right in.
Steps
- Open the Channels DVR web settings and choose Sources → Add Source → M3U Playlist.
- Paste your IPTV playlist link in Source URL.
- Paste your EPG Full link in XMLTV Guide Data and save the source.
- Wait for the guide to load, then check the channels in the Guide tab.
Tips for Channels DVR
- Give the source a clear name, for example your provider's name, to find it easily in the guide.
- If your playlist is very large, use a custom guide with the categories you keep in Channels.
Which link do I use?
In your EPG Full panel you get three links: epg.xml.gz (every channel), eu.xml.gz (European channels) and world.xml.gz (other countries), plus a custom link with only the categories you choose. On slower TV boxes, add only what you need.
Channels still empty?
Let the player download the guide once (a minute on slow boxes), then refresh the EPG. Event and PPV channels show a placeholder with the event name.
